We are custom home builders based out of Telluride, Colorado. We specialize in high end remodels and have 12 full-time employees.

WITH DECADES OF EXPERIENCE

We provide a dedicated full time supervisor for each project to ensure quality control is met. Our long-time staff have decades of experience in mitigating water and rot damage to the old structures of the Telluride Area. 

IN HOUSE CONSTRUCTION

We handle as much of the construction “in House” as we can.  This helps us keep tighter control of the schedule and the demands of the Telluride labor pool.  Given the wide variety of tasks and projects we have taken part in we have experience in all types of construction.

Meet a few of our team members

  • Josh Borof

    Josh moved to Telluride in 1991 to ski and climb mountains. He spent the 90’s establishing first descents on ski’s in the area and traveling the world as a rock climber. He bought and worked on his first house in 1996 from Eric Flora, a local developer who was responsible for the Two Rivers neighborhood in Ilium Valley. Josh began as a laborer for Eric who was kind enough to let him start work on his own house! He then built a house for his wife and new family in Placerville and established Onsight Builders in 2002. His wife Wendy Borof owns and operates Pilates Balance in Lawson Hill. Josh has two kids, Wiley Borof, a kayaker currently attending Montana State Bozeman, and Skylar Borof currently attending the World Class Kayak academy in her junior year. Josh stays connected to his outdoor roots by serving as the board President of the Telluride Mountain Club, telluridemountainclub.org, which he has worked fwith for over 20 years. Josh acts as chief supervisor for all projects and oversees scheduling, timing and quality control for Onsights projects.

  • Jimi Corthouts

    Jimi started his own construction company in Barkhamsted Conn in 2000 and moved outwest in 2016. He started working for Onsight in 2018, and became a junior partner in the company in 2023. Jimi oversees employees and acts as chief field supervisor.

  • Chris Lindberg

    Chris moved to Telluride in 1992 has been working with wood since he was 14 in his dad’s shop! We have been friends since the 90’s and have worked together for over 13 years. Chris is Onsight’s longest standing Supervisor and acts in that capacity on our largest projects.

  • Joe Robertson

    Joe moved to Telluride in 2015 from Chicago area originally working in the Terrain Park at the Telluride Ski Area. He began building rails and park features out of steel and his interest took off. He joined Onsight in 2017. Joe now heads our steel department building all of our architectural steel pieces; from railings, to fireplace enclosures to the perfect light valance. Joe’s work is exceptional.
